RUSTY ROADSIDE TAP

Quenching  the thirst  of every passerby

As they eagerly fill their cups

Greedily twisted

Squeakily turned

Washerless and shaky

All caring,  but uncared for !

The rusty road side tap,  drips and sighs!

FINS AND PETALS

Golden sunlight reflects on the evanescent ripples

The water is clear and blue

Safe under the  shadow  of the  pink lotus

With fins swaying and gills smiling

The little fishes dance in bliss !

DRIFTING RAFT

This  river is endless

 No shore is in sight

Lost in its  encircling currents

Oh! How long  can this raft  keep drifting away !

CREAKING EVENING

The cold winter is receding

The summer creeps in

Crickets creaking in the evening

With  clouds  passing in the sky

sitting under this thatched roof

I sit here and long for you!

WORDLESS RIVER

No river, no raft!

No finger ; no moon!

No seeker; no sought!

No buddha! No buddha nature !

In the path of enlightenment

No word remains !

WEEPING TREE

The sun shines a hotter shade of crimson

 The shadows are long

The clouds are sparse

Alone among the parched barren landscape

Reaching out to the heavens

Shedding silent  tears of yellow

The tree of  wisdom  weeps!

MIRAGE OF CONCEIT

Bored, dull and tired

Of  life  and  subsistence

Plerophorically blinded

Foolishly lame

Trapped in this self made prison

The heretic says!

Oh! Will the mirage of conceit  ever go away !

LOST SHEEP

The forest is thick

The valley is dark

Far from the  meadow-ed home

Bleating in shaken misery

The lost sheep wonders

“Why is it, I  chose to stray”!
