GOOD BYE CRUEL WORLD

My last breath is over!

This corpse I leave behind!

Goodbye cruel world!

Mottled  with passion

Bloating with greed

I  lie rotting by the roadside

I once had a dream of paradise

But now,  only my stench reaches the heavens

A life lost in self pursuit

A breath purely for  self sustenance

A pointless life!

Good !  All this is over at-last!

Alas! What else can be said!

MOROSE FLOWER

The lonesome sun rises

The sky is barren and grey

The earth is morose and dusty

As the satire of life smiles upon me

Even the morning flowers wither away!

LORD OF THE SNAIL

Oh lord! Creator of all creatures great and small!

Did you, with your mighty hands, twist the twirls of this little snail?

Splendid in form and color; splendid in manifestation!

You lead him from clear grasslands, to the grey highway!

But was it your will; that he too must cross?

What calciferous paradise do you hold in store for him?

What luring treasure, to make him slide to the other side?

You shaped his shell; so beautiful and brittle!

But, what about the strength of the speeding truck!

You gave him eyes to see; but no legs to flee!

In his life of flesh and lime; you gave him action and free will

But, what about, insight and wisdom!

As he sees his speeding fate approaching; unable to recede in time

A beautiful life now lost forever!

Crushed and stuck to some tyre, as mere specks of slime!

Oh lord of the snail! Omnipotent and omniscient!

As you sit back and watch in your glory, do you smile, or do you cry?

THE FLY

Hovering and savoring the muck rotten by

I am the humble, measly fly

Not much up above; and not the sky so high

I may be puny; yet I can fly

I wallow in the dung and I live in the filth

Yet, do not hoard up or crave for wealth

Rotten and recycled; is the food I eat

Yet, I do not kill; I don’t cheat

I live in merry and freely breed

Yet I am no slave to master greed

I cherish the loo or a dirty plate

Yet I am not overwhelmed by morbid hate

I do not think, though I often stink

Yet, I do not push the world to the brink

So don’t judge me just by my insignificant size

Don’t judge me for my deeds and my innocent vice

For you are just me;  just a bigger me

Seeing life through some other compound eyes

You are no better!

You are no better in character nor in vice

 So see me with compassion

See me with compassionate eyes

For I’m the humble and measly fly

Who didn’t choose to; yet, still can fly

I am the humble, measly fly

THE PUDDLE

Born of the rain and cradled by the earth

Showcasing the entire sky

I am the almighty puddle

I believe, there fore I am

The master of my own destiny

I believe, there for I am

The player of my own symphony

From the clouds I came, but to paradise I'll go

So perfect is my venerable harmony

For, everything around me is so well designed

So well designed, specially for me

The earth is carved out to fit my form

And the sand is shaped to please me with ease

The sky reflects my perfect face

As the warmth of the water ripples in the morning breeze

The sun rises for me and the moon shines for me

Oh! How perfect is this world!

The world designed specially for me
