SUMMER STREAM
The crimson summer is scorching
Scorching as it overpowers life
parched and lifeless
The roasted soil is dry and barren
Flowing on its sandy death bed
The little blue stream still trickles on
Another day it may last
Another night may be
Stars and life it sees today
Happiness and bliss in the now
But even as the sorrow of the summer creeps in
And the flaming sun rises tomorrow
Oh! Will the sand and pebbles run dry ?

GARDEN OF TODAY
The garden is fresh with nascent blossoms
As the rays of the sun embrace me with warmth
The sky has cleared, and thunderclouds have retreated
The rainbow smiles in splendid colors of joy
Fluttering birds hum a happy tune
As they shake away the last of the raindrops in bliss
Yet, I sit here and worry of hypothetical storms!
