LAZY LIZARD ON THE TEMPLE WALL
Oh lazy lizard on the temple wall!
Is it faith that moved the mighty
mountains, that holds you?
Does the gravity of desire, fool you?
You scaled the wondrous wall to worthy
heights
But creep back to cracks and
corners, when not in sight
With valor and stealth, you stalk your flying prey
But to the lord of the flies must
they pray?
With ritualistic precision you lash
your faithful tail
Yet, with the mere shadow of fear,
you drop it off your trail
You strut around with pride, and
hum a chesty tune
Unaware that, dusk follows the dawn of good fortune
Don’t you know oh lazy lizard !
That you own not the wall, that you proudly crawl!
Sooner or later, it could be your turn to fall!
So, when water washes away your footprints from the temple wall!
Oh, lazy lizard! What will you grip to, when you slip
and fall?

THE THREE DOORS OF LIBERATION
Oh lost and lonely soul; wandering the mind’s
deluded maze
Don’t you ever want to break free?
Do you try to; but fall back
Do you try to; but fall back
Fall back into the pit of carnal
perseveration !
Don’t
your self crafted keys of stealth and passion
Lead not to eternal liberation?
Listen then thou ; oh lost soul; to this
ancient wisdom
Let the music of love play, and the bell of reason ring
As you step towards the three doors of
liberation
The first door to liberation; Emptiness
Step in if you please
Where everything is connected; everything’s
a blend
Everything is composite; and it all comes
to end
Nothing is inherent; and no object has essence
Where ego is delusional, and self, a mere pretence
Thus is the eternal
door of Emptiness
The first door to liberation
The second door to liberation; Signlessness
Step in if you please
Formless is the object; but to reality it’s
blind
Boundaries and borders, drawn up by the viewing
mind
For, there is no separate existence
And there is no separate entity
Words and labels seem to point ; but the truth is devoid of self identity
Thus is the eternal door of signlessness
The second door to liberation
The third door to liberation ; aimlessness
Walk in if you please
There is no purpose ; other that the present
moment
No craving, no longing, no anxiety to torment
No wishing , no compulsion ; no pressure to
do
Live the moment, and feel its true
Thus is the eternal door of aimlessness
The third door to liberation
Oh lost and lonely soul of the mind
Step through the three doors of liberation
With keys of reason and eyes of compassion
With emptiness, signlessness and aimlessness
Wake up! Wake up to the awakened one !

WHERE DO I GO FROM HERE
My breath has ceased and my tireless heart has skipped its
eternal beat
Where do I go from here now?
From nothingness I came and in emptiness I was
Into the stream of nothingness, will I not flow?
With Ideas of self identity, and thoughts of eternity
Will they not melt away with the rotting flesh?
As form and feature can no longer cling in impunity
As the mind and matter, merge to their final unity
Tell me dear life; where do I go from here now?

BEAUTY RIDING THE ARROW OF TIME
Oh beauty riding the arrow of time
Is all your vanity, worth more than a dime ?
You smile so sneeringly today
But who will you sneer at, on that very day
The arrow strikes its darkest target
The unmissable target, of decay and death
Of sickness , misery and ill health
Doesn't all this beauty, just whiter away ?
Luck may save you, but not forever
You can't even evade it, by being
clever
Wrinkles and freckles will still greet your face
As the arrow proceeds in its unheeded pace
Isn't all beauty but skin deep
When maggots feast on the rest
Oh beauty riding the arrow of time

GIFT OF LIFE
As you awaken today
The music of life is still playing
Every breathe you breathe, is but a gift
A gift of life and consciousness
As you gently; gently open your eyes
See the world; the world full of resplendent beauty
Feel the everlasting love; as it sustains the evanescent world
Taste the nectar of life; as it blossoms all around you
Taste the nectar of life; as it blossoms all around you
As you awaken today

EVANESCENT MOMENTS
The sky was brighter, in the light of your smile
And blossom of life, was filled with the nectar in your
eye
Washed away in the flood of your tears!
What have we come to now?
Didn’t we know this love is so strong?
Why then, make this separation so long
Without you, and your everlasting love
Lost and lonely; what will I do now?
In this wilderness of so called life
You were my guiding star; you were my soul
What am I to do here, without a goal?
You were my sunshine; now I’m lost in your shadow
You were my meaning; now I’m an empty barrow
So fill me with love and don’t you encumber
Awaken me from this earthly slumber
Brighten my sky with the light your smile
Let me see again the nectar in your eye!
Oh ,all those evanescent moments!

DINING WITH DEATH
What will you serve him?
Can you look into, in his dark dead eyes?
Can you ask him why?
Can you smile as he cries?
Yet wipe off his sinful tears?
Can you serve him hot coffee; and make him your friend ?
Yet, can you let him make, your very-own end
Can you watch him, get up and leave?
If death comes home for dinner today !
Can you serve him your soul?

ALL IN MOMENT
The Sun’s rising and the stars shining
It’s all in a moment
Birth, death and happiness
It’s all in a moment
Eyes meeting in soulful union
And helpless hearts broken in separation
It’s all in a moment
All your love and hope, and precious memory
And even your pain, and misery
It’s all in a moment
The first kiss, and the last one too
It’s all in a moment
Belief, trust and heartfelt prayers
It’s all in a moment
Experience and existence
And the root of all sentience
It’s all in a moment
So don’t be caught in hatred or self delusion
Be compassionate and relish every moment
As, all is in the moment
Living life, from moment to moment

IMPERMANENCE, PHILOSOPHY AND THE NATURE OF REALITY
Perception and philosophy are incomplete descriptions of objective reality. Like all perceptions and ideologies, my world view too is only a partial truth. Any philosophy or perception is still a reductionist's analysis of reality and hence it reduces the complex nebulous interdependent network of variables to simplified chunks of manageable data that can be managed by our limited minds and its cognitive systems. Hence in my view any theory or philosophy is an oversimplification of the nature of reality. In a sense it its partially true and partially false at the same time. According to my world view the impermanence that i mention is about conventional reality as experienced through our senses. However i can no way be sure that beyond my limited world view there could be an ocean of permanence and yet, it may be beyond my perceptual abilities. Thus i can only say , and that too only conventionally, that whatever i perceive within my bubble universe(umwelt) is impermanent. Also this impermanence refers to only to a world of actualities where reality arises from the collapse of the possibilities. In conclusion my view could be summarized as that, all philosophies, including this one are over simplifications of the truth, and actual reality is too complex and beyond comprehension to be contained in human labels of permanence and impermanence

THE SAME OLD STREAM
Yet all the old water has flown away
Wasn’t it here just the other day
That you and I did often play
Wasn’t it here just the other day
We pledged our love, come what may
Yet death came and took you away
Leaving me to a lonesome stay
Wasn’t it here the very next day
Your ashes I did cast away
Yet here I am by the stream today
Watching water and memories flow this way
Ashes scattered in turbid water
From a loving mind to particles of matter
Your life has just flown away
Yet our love, forever it shall stay
Through my verses come and play
Though all the old water has flown away
Our love forever is here to stay
Forever and ever our love shall stay

EVERYTHING MUST GO
Everything must go
Plants and trees and mighty mountains
Nations, corporations and latest fashions
Everything must go
The lovely s brook, that gurgles by
The lazy clouds that float so high
Everything must go
The precious place you call your home
And wondrous places that you do roam
Everything must go
Your little cousin down the road
Your mom, your dad and your little ford
Everything must go
My life, my wife and all my loved ones
My friends, my foes and all the bad ones
Everything must go
All that you wish and all that you see
All that you love and all that you feel
Everything must go
The time will come, the time will go
so, don’t you cling and don’t you hold
Let it flower, and let it go
Since everything must go
