Music to ears!

Joy to the soul!

Filled with fragrance

The sound of the  first rain! 

GREEN IS THE COLOR

Lazing clouds embrace the hills

The morning drizzle!

The cool monsoon breeze!

 Left over from the nights down pour

Full up puddles!

Now blue with the clearing sky  

 Trees and lawns; fields and the hills     

  

Green is the colour!

Green is the colour of life!

Happiness resides!

Peace flows!

Oh! How blissful is this beauty of life! 

STILL POURING

The rain has stopped now

Grass here is greener

Birds chirp away

Flowers blossom

Deep inside my moistened heart

Tell me dear

Why is it still pouring? 

UMBRELLA OF HAPPINESS

Rain drops are falling

The flowers are blooming

The children are playing

Puddles are full

Birds are a fluttering their wings

The monsoon is here

The clouds are dancing

Colorful, wide and smiling

My umbrella of happiness is open gain!

The thunder roars



 Black clouds gather



Lightning flashes



The rain pours



Sitting by the window



My heart longs for you!

RAIN DROPS AND CRIMSON

Crimson and green

The trickling blue

Leaf and flower swaying

 Little puddles, muddy bubbles

Umbrellas and colored coats

Happiness and wet souls

All drenched now

As I dance in the falling rain! 

RAIN IN PARADISE

Rain drops are falling

Crimson flowers are smiling

Green leaves are dancing

The sky is happy

The earth is too 

Oh! Am I really in paradise! 

GREEN ENLIGHTENMENT

Curly dark clouds embrace the southern sky

As the rain drops kiss the moistened earth

Rippling smiles spread across the newly formed puddles

As the perfumed earth fills the air with fragrance

The trees sway to the tune of the moist wind

And the dust settles and the dirt is washed away

The glossy leaves attain green enlightenment

In this rejuvenating shower of paradisiacal bliss  

My besprent heart silently blossoms!

MONSOON PROMISE

Pellucid rains drop finally falling!

Merciful monsoon clouds

Finally blessing the barren fields!  

Life resurrecting from an arid death!  

 

Now, wet and green; sprouting and crawling!  

As life renews it promise to the earth, this monsoon

How lucky am I to live on!  

MONSOON OF THE MIND

The rainy soil fills the air with the fresh fragrance of life

The birds flutter as they sprinkle away the rain drops from their wings

Budding grass and flowers fill the once barren fields

New formed streams trickle and hum around every corner

As I sit here and wonder in silent contemplation

The monsoon of the mind has begun!
