Not hidden by mounds of sand
Man’s shameless greed!
Unfettered arrogance
Appalling cruelty
Crackling whips
Cluttering hooves
Trails of sinusoidal sorrow

A twisted arm; bruised face!
A smile, a veil!
A happy new marriage!
A baby of hope; soon to arrive!
