Shining through the
branches
The rays of the setting sun!
A dogs howls
The pandit chants
The evangelists pray
All in vain!
The funeral pyre crackles!

AWAY IN A MANGER
The night is silent
The star is bright
The wise-men come by
No Mistletoe, no reindeer
No decorated
trees !
Away in a manger!
The little Savior is born!
MARY OF MAGDALA
Oh lady at His feet
Washing his divine earthly feet
What is it, that drew you?
What made you change
Your carnal earthly ways!
Is it his Eternal
love!
Is it the fear of eternal damnation!
Or is it his unconditional forgiveness!
Weeping and repenting
Washing away your sins
Oh! Penitent Mary of Magdala !
Help us mend our ways!
SELF MADE PRISON
Thoughts enshrine
Feelings entwine
Fear freezes
Pleasure enchains
Hared and desire burn away
Caught up in my “ self”
made prison
Life fades away !
LIVE ON
The funeral pyre burns
The sun sets!
A generous heart
Kind speech
A helping hand
Now live on as just memories!
WHISPER IN MY EAR
The moon shines
The sky is warm and clear
Arm in arm, embracing softly
As the breeze plays with your hair
Tell me my dear !
What did you whisper in my ear ?
ROTTING BELOW
Assemblage of flesh and bones
Once rocking and raving
Chasing and craving
Seeking pleasure
Flaming desire
Marked now by a stone
TODAY AT SCHOOL
Today at school
Sarfraz and I
Playing hide and seek
And then ...
A Big bang!
My brain splatters!
splinters of flying bone!
My young blood fatally flows !
But why........?
TAO
Empty is the way
Effortless and blissful!
Empty it is; all
the way!
The Origin of
everything!
And also, the
final demise!
Pervading and Being
Everything; that
has been, is, and will be
Shining brilliantly as
emmanscent light
The Subtlest of
the subtle
The ultimate essence/non-
Oh! The ineffable Tao!
INSULTED AND HUMILIATED
The wars wages on
The worlds are clashing
And soon, all of this will come to an end!
You were wronged ! And you responded rightly
But is there no end to it my dear?
How much blood will quench man’s anger
How much punishment, will be punishment enough ?
The thirst for Justice; shall bring no peace!
But still,
forgiveness can!
The one who is hurt
Cannot transcend his mind
But the one who
has lets go, can!
The heretic says !
I forgive !
Now go ahead!
Behead me my friend
