THE RED MOON

Vanishing at  the cloudless dawn!

The red moon!

A night to remember!

TEA OF KASHMIR

The gentle winter sun sets

The chilly dusk sets in

Saffron and fragrant

I sip to bliss

This soothing tea of  Kashmir

RESTLESS WAIT

The counter is in a hustle


The queue is long


At the door


Shutters are down


Down the hallway


The chairs are empty


The lights flicker


The clock ticks on


Restless for my turn


Life goes slow!

THE THORN REMAINS

Fragrant and fresh

The rose petals

Whither away

The thorn remains

WILLOW AT DUSK

Sunset by the stream!

The crimson disk!

Its reflection,

Wavy and bright

Sempiternal ripples  

The willow on the bank!

Shadowy and calm

The mellow glow of dusk!

LOST IN THE POINTLESS

Seasons have changed

Time has gone by

Words have rotten

The heart has become stale

Lost in the pointless 

My empty soul!

SCARRED FOR LIFE

The cut runs deep !

The heart aches!


Sorrow flows as blood !


As the wound heals with time !


Bitterness of the scar remains !

FOOT STEPS IN SNOW

The sun shines bright


The sky is so blue


The cold mountain reaches high


Across the vast white valley


Foot steps in fresh snow

THE GLASS WINDOW

Warm sun light shines through !

The cold wind out stays out!

Keeping my flimsy soul

Bright and ever so joyful

The transparent glass window!

CRATERS IN TIME

Like craters on the moon

Frozen in time

Raindrops on fresh concrete!
