Twilight comes





The sun sinks away




Restless in the couch



My lonesome heart thumps !

GENTLY BEING

Long leaves serrated and green



Slender brown Bark

Tall and swaying to the breeze



Neither waiting nor seeking



Just gently being

THE NIGHT RIDE

Old bike chugging




Mellow city lights



Gentle Embrace



Gushing breeze



Sweet nothings !

CRUEL LIFE

Cruel Road


Careless driver


The last whimper


Crushed now and lifeless


Tail, fur and paw


A once Cute face!

LITTLE DOG

Little dog at the door

Ears up, head down

Tail thumping!

Longing! waiting !

TURQUOISE SKY AND ROCKY TRUTH

The sky is turquoise

My mind, different a shade of blue

Sorrow is fleeting

Pain a mere illusion

Seeking for happiness 

The rocky truth!

RAIN TREE IN A CONCRETE JUNGLE

The gray weary walls standing tall

Windows with gusts of hot heavy air

Exhaust from the mounted air conditioners!

White clouds of chimney smoke

The humming silence of impersonal space

Within this concrete jungle

Embracing the gentle morning sun between its branches 

The single pink blossomed Rain tree!

VIOLET BLISS

The summer has began

The sky is blue , the clouds are sparse

Fresh and  lush green

The Pungai tree is in  full blossom

Under its cool shade

Sitting by the scattered blossums

Violet Bliss !

LEAKY PITCHER

Seasons have changed

The grass is brown and dry

Not different form their shadow

The dry silhouettes of trees

meandering  sands  remain

As reminding  remnants of the  once flowing stream

Not heeding to these signs

Oblivious in ignorance

I let my only pitcher leak!

SILENT HUM

The thumping heart


The racing blood


Restless feelings


Unfettered by all this


In the background


The silent hum of the mind

MYSTICAL PARADISE

Crystal clear pools netted by sunlit ripples




The gentle gurgling of the stream



The white hum of the waterfall



Pebbled rocks ; shales of maroon and purple



Ferns and moss; lush green and varigate



Lost in this mystical paradise



A soul seeking clemency !

SOLITARAY MOUNTAIN RUNNER

Snow capped mountain




Endlessly blue sky



The Cold Himalayan breeze



Barks creak , birds chirp



The sweet fragrance of the woods



Through the thick canopy



Green and intricate



The mesh-work of golden sunshine



A solitary runner on an April morning



I merge into this web of life !

RAIN AND GLOW

Midst the green forest




Lighting flashes



Thunder rumbles



New formed streams trickle



Inside the window



The amber glow of my lamp !

COLORED EMOTION

Lavender smile

Smoky eyes

Blue-full pain

Joyful beige

Bloody heart!

Alas!

A soul-less black!  

TRAILS OF SORROW

Not hidden by mounds of sand

Man’s shameless greed!

Unfettered arrogance

Appalling cruelty

Crackling whips

Cluttering hooves

Trails of sinusoidal  sorrow !

SHATTERED BANGLE

A twisted arm; bruised face!

A smile, a veil!

A happy new marriage!

A baby of hope; soon to arrive!

All these and even more!

Hidden from this callous world

Untold Stories,  scattered on concrete!

Red, blue and light green!

The shattered glass bangle!

THE RED MOON

Vanishing at  the cloudless dawn!

The red moon!

A night to remember!

TEA OF KASHMIR

The gentle winter sun sets

The chilly dusk sets in

Saffron and fragrant

I sip to bliss

This soothing tea of  Kashmir

RESTLESS WAIT

The counter is in a hustle


The queue is long


At the door


Shutters are down


Down the hallway


The chairs are empty


The lights flicker


The clock ticks on


Restless for my turn


Life goes slow!

THE THORN REMAINS

Fragrant and fresh

The rose petals

Whither away

The thorn remains

WILLOW AT DUSK

Sunset by the stream!

The crimson disk!

Its reflection,

Wavy and bright

Sempiternal ripples  

The willow on the bank!

Shadowy and calm

The mellow glow of dusk!

LOST IN THE POINTLESS

Seasons have changed

Time has gone by

Words have rotten

The heart has become stale

Lost in the pointless 

My empty soul!
